Bailey Creek Lodge Bailey Creek Lodge

Anglers at Bailey Creek Lodge will enjoy easy access to Bailey Creek, which has open paths, shaded pools and very little streamside brush. The secondary waters of Rock Creek offer a more rugged terrain amid large rocks and trees - this one is for the more adventurous angler. In addition to Bailey Creek and Rock Creek, 3 trout-filled lakes await you. There is a small lake on the property, just above Bailey Creek, that is filled with rainbow trout that are measured in pounds, not inches. The lake can be covered from shore and doesn't require wading or a float tube (although a float tube is allowed). The unobstructed view to the west offers superb sunsets as you ply the shoreline or drift across the lake in your tube. A spectacular three-acre lake close to the lodge is also full of abundant trophies just waiting for you to come calling. Just five minutes up the road from Bailey Creek, massive brown trout surface in the beautiful, calm waters of Lake Christine. This lake is pproximately seven acres in size! An abundance of shallow waters with typical weed beds make for exciting visual fishing of brown trout and an incredible evening hatch. A beautiful forested setting makes exploring this lake by float tube a real treat. The Lodge sits right above Bailey Creek on the Twin Creeks Ranch below Mt. Lassen. This is a five bedroom, five bath beauty that you will find extremely comfortable. From each room, guests can relax to the sounds of rushing stream waters, which are both soothing and invigorating. The bedrooms are on the bottom floor and the entire upper floor is designed for eating and relaxing around the fireplace, watching TV, tying flies or shooting a little pool. Picture windows look out to a magnificent view of the green canopy over Bailey Creek and a forested mountain ridge beyond. The entire north side of the building is a spacious deck looking down on a large patio area and a lovely heated 20 x 40 foot pool and jacuzzi. The whole area around the lodge, pool and Jacuzzi is surrounded by lawn, lots of lawn! Bailey Creek Lodge is the perfect place to end each day and share stories over a glass of wine and fine food. The lodge is small enough to reserve the entire venue for a truly private vacation. Outside, a wood deck stretches the length of the windows and affords a great view of Bailey Creek. Below is a very spacious patio area, complete with tables, chairs and an open fire pit bordered by lush garden planters. Walk across manicured lawn to the 20 x 40 foot heated swimming pool or relax in the adjoining hot tub spa. Rates: $275/day per angler (double occupancy) $135/day for the non-angler $300/day for single angler All dates are subject to availability.

Clearwater House Clearwater House

From the cozy confines of Clearwater House you can fish waters of the Pit River, Fall River, Hat Creek, McCloud River, and upper Sacramento River. All you need now is top-notch guiding, excellent dining, and fine accommodations. That s where Dick Galland, founder of Clearwater House, comes in. He and his staff will do everything possible to make your stay and fishing as good as possible. Oh, that s right the fishing, the fishing! What appeals to you? If it s #22 trico spinners to a #4 sofa pillow, on the flat water of Hat Creek to the free-stone pockets of the Pit River, both water types and hatch variety are abundant in this corner of the universe. Sometimes it s delivering a #18 PMD sparkle-dun on a 16- foot leader, tapered down to 7x tippet, from an aluminum pram on picturesque Fall River. Other days it s high-sticking a big ugly #6 Kaufmann rubberleg stone under a 7.5-foot 5x leader on the lush banks of the McCloud River. No matter how you slice it, opportunities (and trout) lurk in these waters. Dick has hand picked his guide staff from a wide-range of experience and backgrounds, all employing a common denominator of patience and professionalism. He knows that a slow catching day, spent with a fun, outgoing, and educational guide is better than a high fish-count day with the cast here type. These guys will see to it that your day is as productive and pleasurable as possible, never loosing sight of your needs. Clearwater House is an eighty-year old stucco farm-house which Dick brought through extensive remodeling and now offers seven bedrooms, each with a private bath. Beautiful fish prints, antique furnishings, and oriental rugs adorn Clearwater s walls and rooms, which the staff keep spotless and running smoothly. A friendly fireplace with receptive couches and chairs welcomes your return from the day s fishing adventures, or you may choose to stroll through the garden taking in views of the surrounding mountains. When it s time for dinner, you won t be left unfulfilled. The food at Clearwater House is prepared by a cook who understands fishing builds hearty appetites and is served family-style at a big, cherry dining table.
